PROVERBS 18:1 NKJV A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.

EPHESIANS 4:11-12 NKJV And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ

JUDGES 16:30 NKJV Then Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life.

How much more could Samson done if he was still alive, living in obedience to the vow he had made?

JUDGES 13:24-25 NKJV So the woman bore a son and called his name Samson; and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him. And the Spirit of the LORD began to move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

JUDGES 14:1 NKJV Now Samson went down to Timnah, and saw a woman in Timnah of the daughters of the Philistines.

First Mistake
He's in the wrong crowd

JUDGES 14:20 NKJV And Samson's wife was given to his companion, who had been his best man.

Second Mistake
He uses his power to satisfy his own desires and not GOD's

JUDGES 15:4-5 NKJV Then Samson went and caught three hundred foxes; and he took torches, turned the foxes tail to tail, and put a torch between each pair of tails.

When he had set the torches on fire, he let the foxes go into the standing grain of the Philistines,
and burned up both the shocks and the standing grain, as well as the vineyards and olive groves.

PROVERBS 14:12 NKJV There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

PROVERBS 29:18 NKJV Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

JUDGES 16:4-6 NKJV Afterward it happened that he loved a woman in the Valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. And the lords of the Philistines came up to her and said to her, "Entice him, and find out where his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and every one of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver."

So Delilah said to Samson, "Please tell me where your great strength lies, and with what you may be bound to afflict you."

Third Mistake
He's being deceived and doesn't even know it

JUDGES 16:16-17 NKJV And it came to pass, when she pestered him daily with her words and pressed him, so that his soul was vexed to death, that he told her all his heart, and said to her, "No razor has ever come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to GOD from my mother's womb. If I am shaven, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man."

JUDGES 16:20 NKJV And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" So he awoke from his sleep, and said, "I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!" But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.

JOHN 10:1 NKJV "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."

Role #1
To PROTECT you

JOHN 10:2 NKJV "But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep."

Role #2
To be the DOOR

JOHN 10:3 NKJV "To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out."

Role #3
To INSTRUCT

ROMANS 10:17 NKJV So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of GOD.

Role #4
To CORRECT

JOHN 10:4 NKJV "And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice."

Role #5
To build a place to call HOME

JOHN 10:11 NKJV "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."

Role #6
To give our LIFE to this

JOHN 10:12 NKJV But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.

Role #7
To be ANSWERABLE to GOD

MATTHEW 16:18 NKJV "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."

PSALM 92:13 NKJV Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our GOD.
